The team members of the project ERC-CZ MORE (2012-2017) cordially invite you to the workshop on Model Reduction. The main topic of the workshop is model reduction of high-dimensional linear and nonlinear systems with particular emphasis on structure preserving model reduction and computational aspects of model reduction. Our idea is to assemble experts on various aspects and applications of model reduction across different branches of science, namely in mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering. The program of the workshop consists primarily of two tutorials and several plenary talks presented by the invited speakers. The members of ERC-CZ MORE research team will also provide information concerning the results achieved so far within the framework of the project. The submitted contributions will be presented in a poster session with a blitz introductory session. Special attention will be paid to organization of formal and informal discussions concerning the formulation of open problems and stimulating research questions.
The conference is organized within the activities of the Nečas Center for Mathematical Modeling. A part of the event, in particular the poster session, is supported by RSJ Fund. We offer a PostDoc position within the project MORE, more information can be found at MathJobs.org
