Advances in nonlinear PDEs: analysis, numerics, stochastics, applications

June 2-3, 2014, Vienna University of Technology and University of Vienna, Austria.

The event is the kick-off meeting of the new Vienna Center for Partial Differential Equations (Vienna PDE). This center is an initiative to bundle the excellence in PDE research in Vienna, to strengthen the Viennese PDE activities, and to provide a contact point for interdisciplinary projects involving PDEs in applications. The new doctoral school "Dissipation and Dispersion in nonlinear PDEs" (see http://npde.tuwien.ac.at) is one of the cornerstones of the center. For more information, please visit the webpage of the workshop.

Keynote lectures will be given by

  • PDEs and analysis:
    Adrian Constantin, Wien/London
    Alexander Mielke, Berlin
    Laure Saint-Raymond, Paris
  • PDEs and numerics:
    Yvon Maday, Paris
    Ilaria Perugia, Wien
    Enrique Zuazua, Bilbao
  • PDEs and stochastics:
    Dominique Bakry, Toulouse
    Eric Carlen, Piscataway
    Giuseppe Toscani, Pavia
  • PDEs and applications:
    Rupert Klein, Berlin
    Philip Maini, Oxford
    Maria Giovanna Mora, Pavia

If you wish to participate, please register by sending an email to Ms Khaladj (manuela.khaladj@tuwien.ac.at) until May 01, 2014. Participation is free of charge. The conference dinner (buffet-style) will take place on June 02. Because of the type of the event, there will be no contributed talks but a poster session.
